OBJECTIVE OF JOB 
Responsible to assist in the supervision of Ready mix Drivers and the Delivery Fleet for Teichert ReadyMix. Reports to the TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  
· Provide supervision and leadership for all ready-mix delivery personnel.
· Assist in all aspects of safety and safety compliance as it applies to the delivery teams at all plant locations and jobsites. Works closely with Safety Professionals to respond to Near Misses and Good Catches.
· Assist in recruiting, interviewing and maintaining a prospective “new hire” list of qualified delivery team personnel, which is in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity program administered by the State of California, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title1 of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Civil Rights Act of 1991.
· Assist in all aspects of driver training and professional skills development for new hires as well as “seniority” employees at all RMX locations.
· Assist in optimizing fleet productivity by monitoring jobsites for driver efficiency and ensuring proper access along with locating washout areas.
· Assist in resolving customer complaints in regards to trucking issues and property damage.
· Assist in maintaining driver records in reference to DMV, DOT and Company Personnel Files
· Assist in all DOT compliance requirements including Drivers Hours of Service and the DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing and Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing.
· Assist in conducting investigations post incident or injury to determine cause and identify best practices/solutions to prevent future incidents or injuries.
· Responsible for operating within the collective bargaining agreement, and working closely with the Industrial Relations and Human Resources Manager. Assist in handling disciplinary issues with the drivers.
· Responsible for interacting with Mobile Equipment regarding fleet maintenance, scheduling down time and communicating to dispatch availability of trucks.
· May perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

CONDITIONS OF THE JOB
Spends most of the time in the field and ready mix plants with an exposure to wet concrete, dirt, dust, gas, fumes, extreme noise and exposures to extreme temperature or humidity. All proper personal safety protection items provided by the company. 

EQUIPMENT USED IN PERFORMANCE OF THE JOB
Personal computer/tablet, telephone, 2-way radio, pick-up truck, ready-mix truck 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the ready-mix industry.
- Must hold and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with various groups of people. Ability to lead, direct, mentor and manage a diverse workforce.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment and to make sound leadership decisions.
- Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook, willing to learn and develop proficiency in Kronos, CommandTrack and Five Cubits Trak-It.
