PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to perform routine and non-routine tasks related to the collection of schedule data required to monitor project progress and forecast resource needs.   This role will develop, update, and monitor project schedules, gathering and analyzing information to prepare reports on the progress of projects and project groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform tasks required to develop and maintain schedules for a portion of a project.   Includes collecting actual and quantities installed per schedules, assess progress data supplied by others, and visual inspection.
- Support supervision through preparation and maintenance of forecasts and schedules.   May draft construction network diagrams for specific area.
-  Develop detailed engineering and construction schedules with construction management.   May assemble data from variety of sources including A/E, client engineering, other contractors.
- Responsible for updating construction forecast to reflect most current plans/requirements.
- Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for items such as sub contract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems.
- May provide supervision and/or on-the-job training to clerical and entry level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
-  Gathers and analyzes data by conducting on site visits, reviewing plans and specs, and communicating with construction staff.
- Ensures all scheduling functions are in compliance with company and client requirements.
- Visibly supports Teichert’s Injury Prevention and Safety program, the implementation/interpretation of safety programs, and active participation in safety meetings and training sessions.   Proactively identifies, and communicates, safety improvements and hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions to maintain a safe and healthy work environment and meet corporate safety standards.  

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience

Experience& Industry Expertise:
- Preferred 5 years’ experience of construction scheduling within the Heavy Civil Scope
 
Specific Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong knowledge of scheduling best practice, principles and techniques.
- Proficient with construction scheduling software, Primavera 6
- Ability to read Plans and Specifications and visualize the individual components of work.
- Working knowledge of and ability to select/apply resource monitoring and control techniques such as CPM networks scheduling and computer scheduling
- Current on all company required safety and regulatory training
- Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts-of-interest
- General understanding of the construction industry, particularly in infrastructure/heavy construction
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written, presentation, facilitation and listening
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong time management skill
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Vista, desirable)
